About Us

la Padella is a family-owned and operated restaurant inspired by the belief that the best memories are made around the table. Built on family traditions, a love of great food, and a passion for hospitality, la Padella was created to be a place where family and friends can gather, celebrate, and feel at home.

For Nick and Kayla, food has always been about more than what's on the plate—it's about gathering around the table, celebrating life's moments, and creating lasting memories with family and friends. Those values continue to inspire everything they do at la Padella.

Nick and Kayla first met while working at The Little Inn in Media, where they discovered a shared love for the restaurant industry and creating memorable dining experiences. What began as a workplace friendship eventually grew into a partnership in both life and business.

Both lifelong Delaware County residents, Nick and Kayla are proud to serve the community they have always called home. Nick grew up in Springfield, attended St. Dorothy Parish, and graduated from Cardinal O'Hara High School. Kayla was raised in Glen Mills, attended St.

Francis de Sales Parish, and is also a Cardinal O'Hara graduate. Today, they live in Broomall and are raising their four children in Marple Newtown.

Nick's journey in hospitality began at The Restaurant School in Philadelphia. After graduation, he managed several well-known restaurants, gaining valuable experience while working toward his dream of owning a restaurant of his own.

To build a strong foundation for that dream, Nick became a business owner in Springfield, successfully operating a beverage store for nine years before expanding with a second location in

Media. While those ventures strengthened his entrepreneurial experience, his true passion always remained in the restaurant industry. In 2017, Nick and Kayla turned that dream into reality when they opened la Padella together.

Since day one, their mission has been simple: to create a welcoming neighborhood restaurant where family, friends, and community can gather to enjoy exceptional food, warm hospitality, and memorable experiences. Their commitment to quality, service, and community continues to guide everything they do.
